This image is a favorite of mine. It has an impressionistic feel to it, and was taken while I was bobbing around in my kayak using a multiple second exposure to enhance the motion of the ocean. My primary concern while making this image was keeping my film camera dry while trying to keep from crashing into the pilings of the pier. The mysterious, almost ghostly sailboat on the horizon was a bit of luck.
